For safety reasons, we do not allow day boats to pass under Wroxham Bridge. We direct all our customers to the left. This route takes you through Wroxham where you will be able to enjoy the array of wonderful riverside properties, before continuing on past Wroxham Broad, Salhouse Broad and then on to Horning village.
Horning ...
With lovely local gift shops, a picturesque village green (with free moorings) and a choice of riverside pubs, Horning is the picture perfect Norfolk Broads village. The first of the pubs (on your left side) is the Swan Inn and will take you around 80 minutes to get to. This is followed around 5 minutes later by The New Inn. Finally, a further 20 minutes away is The Ferry Inn (which marks pretty much the end of Horning). All are lovely pubs, some have the benefit of mooring assistants too - this can make life much much easier for you! Our staff will talk you through a route that's suitable for the time you have and give you guidance.
Please note ... Although it will take approximately 80 minutes to reach The New Inn, please be aware that return journeys can take a little longer as you may be returning back to us against the tide - you'll need to factor that into your timings to avoid being late back.
For guidance, you can normally get to The New Inn, enjoy a drink, then return to us within a 3 hour booking. If you wish to stop for a quick lunch, you'll need a 4 hour booking.
Please note however, these timings are only a guide. Very busy days on the river can prolong your journey time. In addition, the pubs may have a wait time for food. It is your responsibility to take this into account and calculate your timings - you remain fully responsible for the punctual return of the boat to avoid additional charges.
Respecting the environment ...We love where we live and work - and we want you to love it too. We kindly ask that you respect the environment and local residents. Please do not throw any rubbish into the river and please keep noise to a minimum - thank you.
